Our Advice …
“Do your research before deciding to get laser hair removal (LHR), even when it’s recommended by the people you trust like doctors and nurses, and especially when the treatment areas in question are your face and neck (women) and upper torso (men). Before beginning, you should always start with a test patch.
The following information should NOT be used as your only source of information. It is intended to raise awareness around the risks and limitations of LHR, and to serve as a guide when doing your own research.”

Before Deciding to Get Laser Hair Removal …
Ask them about the risks of exposing vellus facial & upper torso hairs to various laser wavelengths.
Ask them about the possibility of paradoxical hypertrichosis in up to 10% of people; especially those from ethnic groups more likely to have darker, coarser hair and with skin types III, IV, V, & VI.
Ask them if a time will ever come when you will no longer have to continue laser maintenance treatments.
Ask them if laser is a permanent form of hair removal or just a permanent form of hair reduction.
Ask them, if they claim it’s permanent removal, why wont the FDA approve them to make that claim.
Ask them what they think about electrolysis hair removal (EHR) and why they don’t talk about its proven, FDA backed claim of permanent results once treatment is complete.
